SunExpress is a Turkish airline based in Antalya, which was founded in 1989 as a joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Deutsche Lufthansa AG. It started with a Boeing 737-300 aircraft and charter flights to popular tourist destinations in Turkey were offered. Gradually, the route network has been expanded, since 2001, SunExpress also offers scheduled flights to numerous Turkish destinations. As carry-on luggage, SunExpress passengers can carry bags, suitcases, rucksacks, etc. no larger than 55 x 40 x 20 centimeters and weigh no more than six kilograms. Each passenger has the option of carrying a piece of hand luggage on board. The free baggage depends on the flight route and tariff. For flights to and from Germany to Egypt, Bulgaria, Greece, Canary Islands, Croatia, Morocco, Spain, Tunisia or Cyprus go or to Antalya, Alanya / Gazipaşa, Bodrum and Dalaman are 20 kilograms in the tariff SunEco, 25 kilograms in the tariff SunClassic and 30 kilograms included in the SunPremium tariff. For all other destinations in Turkey, each 10 kilograms more are free. For domestic flights, the airline has set the following exemption limits: SunEco tariff 15 kilograms, SunClassic 20 kilograms and SunPremium 25 kilograms.
