S7 Airlines is a subsidiary of the largest Russian airline Aeroflot. It was founded in 1992 in Novosibirsk - the third largest city in the country. To date, the majority of the company is state-owned. With a fleet of currently 102 aircraft, S7 Airlines flies 150 destinations as September 2019 within the former CIS, but also serves airports in Asia, Europe and the United Arab Emirates. The current timetable includes various routes to and from Germany. For example, S7 Airlines connects the airports in Berlin, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf and Munich with Moscow, Novosibirsk and St. Petersburg, among others.

Economy Class passengers can take a carry-on bag with a maximum weight of 7 kg and a maximum size of 55 x 40 x 20 cm on board. In addition, each passenger in Economy Class is allowed to place a maximum of 203 cm (L x W x H) and 23 kg heavy suitcases.

S7 Airlines offers its passengers the following check-in options: at the counter, online and on the move. Check-in times at the counter vary depending on the airport. While travelers at Moscow Domodedovo Airport can check in from 23 hours to 40 minutes before departure, Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport's desks are open from 3 hours to 40 minutes before departure. At international or other Russian airports, check-in is also possible up to 40 minutes prior to departure. S7 Airlines will enable online check-in from as little as 30 hours to 50 minutes before the start. For mobile check-in via smartphone, an app is available to iPhone and Android users.
