The airline from the Kingdom of Bahrain was founded in 1950 as a private company. In 1974, Bahrain and the Emirates of Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Oman took over the airline. Over the years, the other Gulf countries left the company to start their own airlines with Etihad and Qatar Airways and Oman Air. From Bahrain International Airport, Gulf Air serves 38 international destinations in 23 countries in Europe, Africa and Asia in its current timetable.
👜 Baggage regulations at Gulf Air
In Economy Class passengers are allowed to carry a piece of hand luggage measuring 45 x 40 x 30 cm and weighing a maximum of 6 kg. The free luggage also includes a suitcase to be given. It must not weigh more than 30 kg and should not exceed a length of 95 cm, a height of 75 cm and a depth of 45 cm.
🕗 Gulf Air Web Check-in
Gulf Air offers regular check-in at the counter, as well as the Internet, mobile devices and flights from Bahrain the day before. This option applies to all flights from the airline's hub from 24 hours before the scheduled departure. For mobile check-in there is an optimized browser and the Gulf Air app for Android users. Via the Internet and Smartphone passengers can check in from 24 hours to 90 minutes before the start, choose a seat and print their boarding passes. The baggage can then be handed over to customers at the "Web Check-in Baggage drop" points at the airport and then proceed directly to the gate.
