Moscow is the capital city and the federal agency most populous Russia . The city is an important political, economic, cultural and scientific center of Russia and the continent. Vnukovo International Airport (IATA: VKO ), is a dual-runway international airport located 28 kilometres (17 mi) southwest of the centre of Moscow, Russia. It is one of the four major airports that serve Moscow. In 2015, the airport handled 15.82 million passengers, representing an increase of 24% compared to the previous year. It is the third-busiest airport in Russia.

The international airport "Zhukovsky" ( IATA : ZIA ) is an international airport of the Moscow region . Located at the experimental aerodrome Gromov , in the zone of the Moscow aviation hub . It is located on the territory of the district of the People's Commissariat of the city of Zhukovsky , 3 km to the southwest of the railway platform " 42 km ", 36 kilometers (public roads) from the center of Moscow.
